*One of the highlights of Montesino Ranch is our private access to the Blanco River, and we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do! However, like all rivers, the water levels can vary depending on Mother Nature and how much rain she brings. Water depth may fluctuate throughout the year, so we recommend reaching out to us for the most current information on water levels before your visit.
Even during times of lower water, many of our guests have still enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the Blanco River. Whether you’re wading in the shallows, relaxing by the banks, or simply soaking in the natural surroundings, the river remains a peaceful and memorable part of the Montesino experience.

A Perfect Retreat with Convenient Access to Wimberley
While Montesino offers a peaceful and secluded escape, it’s also conveniently located just a few miles from the charming town of Wimberley. Known for its eclectic shopping, diverse dining, and vibrant arts scene, Wimberley has something for everyone. Explore local boutiques, enjoy a meal at one of the town’s unique restaurants, or take in the sounds of the famous music scene that draws visitors from near and far.
For wine lovers, Wimberley is home to a selection of picturesque vineyards where you can taste local wines and enjoy the scenic Hill Country views. And for those who love to splash around, Wimberley boasts several swimming holes, perfect for a refreshing dip on a warm day.

There is a $75 per pet fee, we allow up to 2 dogs. Please make sure to select the amount of dogs when booking your stay.
We are a working ranch with many critters (both wild and domestic), so we ask that you keep them leashed while they are staying with us and use the dog waste bags provided.
There is a fenced in yard at The Lee House and The Farm House that they can run around in freely, but not left unattended. They can only be left inside The Lee and Farm House unattended if crated.
There is a yard behind The Studios, that is sign posted, that they can run around in freely. Please do not leave them in the rooms unattended, even crated, as they may disturb other guests.
Do not allow them on any furniture. There will be additional fines for any violations. $100 per violation.
Breed restrictions: Pit bull/mix, Rottweiler, Doberman, and German Shepard.
